Welcome to South Witham Academy PTA (parent, teacher association)
We have a friendly, very committed PTA, and though we are small, we have had a super start to the PTA with the support of our parents! We help to raise money for our school by organising events throughout the year. We are always looking for volunteers and so if you have any time to spare and would like to get involved please contact us.

About our PTA
Our PTA is run by Kirsti , Shaun and Andrew.
We are always looking for volunteers to join our PTA, to help raise money.
Money raised by the PTA contributes towards travel costs for trips, pantos etc, keeping the costs down for parents. It also pays for the leaver hoodies that the Year 6s have each year.
Without volunteers in the PTA, we are unable to hold PTA events and raise money for these things for the children so if you are interested in joining our PTA, we would love to welcome you in.
January 2026 - Our School Council has been busy meeting, sharing ideas, and dreaming big about ways to make our school even more exciting. One idea they are especially enthusiastic about is a trim trail — a fun and active space where everyone can climb, balance, and play!
Unfortunately, trim trails don’t come cheap, so we’ll be rolling up our sleeves and fundraising with the goal of raising enough money to create a fantastic trim trail for all our children to enjoy. If you’re able to help with fundraising, have ideas to share, or know someone who might be able to support us, we would be incredibly grateful. Every bit of help brings us one step closer to making this exciting idea a reality!
We have a new Facebook page. Please click on the link below and like our page. On our PTA page, you will find up to date information about everything we are doing.

So Far in 2025 we have spent over £1000 to help reduce costs for parents on school trips for KS1 and year 6, also leaver hoodies and with the amount we raised in our Easter Raffle, we have bought a new hot water URN to make coffee mornings run a bit more smoothly!
May 2023 - Our new playground and play equipment! Our PTA have spent £1600 on playground markings and new play equipment for our children. We have 2 new see-saws, some play tunnels, some amazing new playground markings which the children absolutely love to play on and more play equipment on it's way!!
