Little Hedgehogs Nursery

Little Hedgehogs is a fun and stimulating environment where children from 2-4 years can explore a range of experiences both inside and outside.

Mrs Harris and Mrs Duffin hope to make your learning journey exciting and enriching this year. 

Each term we will focus on a different topic and will use the children’s interests to help us choose our learning through play. 

The children are nurtured and encouraged to be adventurous and independent, whilst making discoveries in the world around them .

The sessions we offer

Our nursery starts at the beginning of September and runs until July in line with South Witham Academy Term Dates. However, we can accept children at any point in the school year.

We are open for all 2-4 year olds between 9am-3pm.

Sessions will be charged at £7.80 per hour, the early bird and later pick up will be charged at an additional cost if funded hours are all used. The Early Bird sessions and late pick up are charged at £1.95 each. If you would like your child to stay for a hot school meal, the cost of this is £2.68. Hot meals are booked directly with our hot meal provider, The Farm Kitchen. Fruit is the only other chargeable item and this is entirely optional. Should you wish your child to be provided with a fruit snack, we charge 30p per session. Please advise the Nursery Manager if you would like your child to receive fruit. This is entirely optional and parents are welcome to send their children  in with fruit snacks.

Any extra-curricular activities such as additional trips and visits which you agree to in advance shall be deemed to be supplemental to items met by the fees and will be charged for accordingly. Charges for trips will be provided 6 weeks prior to the trip date. Trips are entirely optional.

We do not charge for any other items. All activities are included in our hourly price.

Funding

We have funded spaces! We can accept both 15 hours and 30 hours term time funded places for our 2, 3 and 4 year olds. These hours can be with us or split between another provision, meaning your child can attend more than one setting.
