Brooke Hill Academy Trust Consultation on Admissions Arrangements

(3^rd November 2025 to 5^th January 2026)

In line with the requirements of the School Admissions Code (2021) we are consulting on the changes to our admissions policy.  This will be for the Admissions Policy for 2027-28 and beyond.  This policy applies to Edith Weston Academy, Brooke Hill Academy and South Witham Academy.

The policy has been updated with the proposed changes including changes to the oversubscription criteria, to make them simpler and easier to understand.  We are also consulting to return the published PAN (intake number) at South Witham Academy and Edith Weston to 15.

As part of the consultation, we are inviting views from:

• Parents/carers of children between the ages of 2 and 18
• Any people in the area who have an interest in the proposed admissions
• The Local Authority and any other admission authorities within the relevant areas.

The ‘find your nearest school’ tool is now live on the LCC website at the two links below. Find your nearest School and Admissions Applications.

Any own admissions school using a ‘nearest school’ criteria or a criterion such as ‘within xx miles of the school’ should link to this within their admissions policy and/or on their admissions pages on the website. It would be best practice to place the link within the policy itself, but this is only clarification so the policy wouldn’t need to be re-determined, just amended. We have placed the link within the LCC policies also.

We have limited spaces at our school. School visits are warmly welcomed.
